CRTI
Canadian Research and Technology Initiative (CRTI) is a fund led by the federal S&T community in collaboration with national and international S&T performers that will provide new knowledge and technology necessary for CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) response and preparedness by supporting acquisition or
acceleration of technology and the necessary new research and technology development in areas of critical need.

As such, CRTI will strengthen the nation's preparedness for, prevention of and response to a CBRN terrorist attack by fostering new investments in research and technology that will generate knowledge and technology, and support their application, while harnessing existing capabilities.
